The Best Destinations in Summer that are Visa Friendly

If you’ve been planning a visa-friendly vacation this summer, we’ve got you covered. Listed below are 5 of the best destinations anyone can dream of to put you in the mood for a little rest and rejuvenation.

  1. Ecuador

Ecuador possesses among the most lenient of all visa policies globally. Citizens of only ten countries need to get a visa prior to visiting. On arrival, tourists are granted 90 days of visa-free stay in Ecuador. One exception to this is if there are restrictions applied traveling to the Galapagos Islands. It is possible to extend your tourist visa by visiting Columbia to reset it during a quick trip.

2. Mexico

Mexico permits Western citizens from approximately 65 countries to stay for up to 180 days of leisure or business. It is rumored that immigration officials are lenient with tourists who overstay this period, although this is not recommended. While a highly popular travel destination, in comparison to a few other countries on this list, Mexico is not as visa-friendly to all nationalities. That being said, non-Western passport holders with residency permits in Western countries are also permitted to enter Mexico with that visa.

3. Seychelles

Seychelles is well known as a beautiful tourist attraction and citizens from every country in the world can get permission to visit for up to three months on arrival. Only citizens from Ebola-affected areas must get a visa. Once within the Seychelles, tourists can extend their visas for up to three months at a time, provided the total time within the Seychelles doesn’t exceed one year.

4. Hong Kong

Due to it’s former connections to Great Britain, Hong Kong permits UK passport holders to stay within the country for 180 days visa free. All other western citizens can benefit from a 90 day visa-free period in the country. Hong Kong allows citizens from African countries to enter with a full tourist visa.

5. Malaysia

Malaysia is one of the easiest countries to get into as a Westerner. Unlike some of the countries mentioned above, Malaysian immigration hardly ever asks for proof of funds or of onward travel. There also aren’t any forms to fill out on arrival. Malaysia permits all western citizens 90 days visa-free stay within the country. Beyond only allowing western citizens to visit, the country is open to most other nationalities with only a few restrictions for visiting foreigners.
